ABOUT THIS NECKLACE
Lockets don't get much sweeter than this one. From mid-19th century Great Britain or Europe, this darling 3/4 inch diameter (not including the loop) round locket is adorned on the front with turquoise-petaled forget-me-not flowers and engraved leafy tendrils. The locket currently opens to reveal braided locks of hair. The Victorians were sentimental and wore the hair of loved ones in lockets to keep them near as travel separated people for sometimes months at a time. Rendered in 12K yellow gold.
