ABOUT THIS BROOCH
You might have noticed by now that Victorians loved a good snake motif—the more novel, the better. In this wild, and quite wonderful, brooch, a very flexible serpent with garnet eyes and 'scales' of cabochon tuquoises in varying hues, has wrapped himself in an outstretched position, his head tucked over the end of his tail (snake yoga?). The sizable 3 1/2 inch wide jewel will make a 'striking' appearance wherever you choose to pin it, and allows the fabric of your ensemble to become part of its design. Fabulous! Hand fabricated in 14K gold (pin stem and mechanism are base metal).
