ABOUT THIS NECKLACE
In 1839, Charles Goodyear was credited with discovering Vulcanite (no relation to Mr. Spock), a material made from hardened rubber that, during the late-Georgian/early-Victorian period, was occasionally used in jewelry such as this fabulous graduated oval link necklace, culminating in large locket adorned with a high-relief carving depicting a veritable cornucopia of nature's bounty. A wearable, collectible uniquity! About 21 inches up to the pendant locket.
