ABOUT THIS NECKLACE

Jade has been a highly desirable gem for thousands of years, believed to be endued with spiritual as well as healing powers. In this extraordinary art piece, diamonds and pearls enhance its beauty. Connected to a platinum linked chain of small, luminous natural pearls, the focal piece is a carved jadeite jade, in varying shades of green, centered by a bright European-cut diamond, and surrounded by an exquisite openwork frame frosted with tiny rose-cut diamonds and accented by four natural pearls. Adding elegant motion, deep sage-green nephrite jade drops, topped by small diamond-set cylinders, swing gracefully below. A unique and utterly arresting Art Deco jewel, circa 1920. Total diamond weight, 1.07 carats. The top of the pendant is crafted in 18K white and yellow gold (the base is 14K white). Chain measures 18 inches.
